One of the best pilots I've ever known, ( and, I've known some great ones ). A mentor. He always challenged me to do better. He was always accessible and welcoming. My friend. I will miss you.... Russell Barbee

THEPASSING OF A LOVEC ONE, Our Departed -STEPHEN ISAACS 1944 - 2023
“Although mere words cannot express, the depth and loss we feel,
It sometimes helps to read a verse, to aid the heart to heal.
We want to hold on and not let go, The pain seems too far too great.
Every fibre they mean to us, we want to store and crate.
But life goes on with unwanted change, to adapt and forge ahead.
Live the now with those still here, Together the grief will shed.
Let fond memories that you have, Heal with their own glow,
The sorrow in your laden heart, With time will surely go.
Our life on Earth is but a moment, In God’s eternal plan,
The heavenly wonders that awaits our soul, Is beyond mortal man.
And when its time for us to pass, Reunions are in stall.
All of those that have gone before, we’ll meet in heaven’s hall.
But till that time, be strong and sure, And experience all you can.
Have zest for life and make it full, Its part of Gods grand plan.”

I worked with Steve at FAA. He was a warm and kind man, and always willing to provide advice. I was very sad to hear about his passing. My condolences to his family.

Growing up in Massachusetts, I thought my older cousin Stephen knew just about everything (and he never told me anything different!) We spent a great summer in Washington when I was a Capitol Hill intern (and ate many peanut butter and jelly sandwiches), and he took me to my very first Star Wars movie! I got to fly with him at the Norwood Airport-what a thrill. In later years, he became interested in our family tree and shared some of his research which I have. Hopefully I’ll get to meet some of our other relatives one day. Give the family a hug from me, we’ve got it from here. Love, Rob

Stephen's conversations were always filled with laughter and information. I would call Steve and Odelia; sometimes it would be late,
however, he would never hesitate to assist me with whatever I needed him for. I will truly miss my good neighbor. Rest in peace!

Steve and Odelia were so very welcoming to me when I moved to the block 15+ years ago. I will always remember Steve outside, tidying up the block with broom in hand, or working on his car! Steve always had advice to dispense, and it was sound advice! I will truly miss him!
