Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Deborah Lynne Brown, who peacefully left us on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. Deborah was the second child of the late Vernon and Evelyn Brown born on April 6, 1955 in Washington, DC and raised in Arlington, VA. She was preceded in death by her brother Maurice A. Brown. After raising her daughters, Danielle and Dana, Deborah spent the majority of her career at Sunrise Assisted Living. During her tenure at Sunrise, Deborah provided a variety of care to seniors. First by assisting with their dietary needs and nourishment as a cook and later transitioning to facility office manager.

Deborah lived a fulfilling life as a mother, sister, aunt, second mom, cousin and friend to many. Most will remember her smile, her love of God and music, her warm heart and lighthearted witty nature. She loved a good card game (bid whist), Sunday crossword puzzles and was a self-proclaimed Jeopardy champ.

Deborah is survived by her 2 daughters, Son in-law, 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and numerous others.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Deborah and share stories of remembrance on 24 August 2023 at the Heart of God Church in Springfield, VA.
