Obituary of Clarence Hubert Forman

Clarence Herbert Forman was born in Washington, D.C. on August 13, 1954. He was the fifth child born to the late Alfred James Thompson and Marian Forman Thompson. After a joyful and fulfilling life, Clarence transitioned from his earthly life to his heavenly reward on June 9, 2022.

Clarence attended Arlington County Public Schools and graduated in 1973 from Wakefield High School. While attending school Clarence had a natural talent and enthusiasm for sports that began at an early age. He excelled in sports and was especially good in football and wrestling. While in high school, Clarence worked part time, after school, for the Defense Logistics Agency which is under the Department of Navy. Upon graduation he began his career with the Navy Department where he worked as a Bindery Machine Operator. During his career he obtained numerous awards, Certificates of Appreciation and special recognition for his expertise and dedication to his profession. Clarence retired in 2009 after forty-six faithful and dedicated years of service.

Clarence had a quiet demeanor and was known for his caring, kind and easy-going persona. Never one to hold grudges or gossip, he preferred being surrounded by peacefulness.  In his younger years he had a beloved Nova which he enjoyed racing, tinkering on and keeping spotless. He was an avid sports enthusiast who enjoyed watching all types of sports and was a dedicated watcher of the show called “60 Minutes”. He also loved doing yard work and the fruits of his labor were evident in his colorful flower gardens. Clarence’s priority was his family. He loved them dearly and he would do anything for them.

Clarence leaves to mourn:  two daughters; Lorell Dane and Nichole Foreman; five grandchildren, Niara Foreman, Lequila Peterson, Bianca Peterson, Otis Brown and Jordan Dane; three great- grandchildren, Jamal Peterson, Kai Scale and Chase Thompson; one sister, Nancy Forman; two brothers, Tyrone Forman (Gina)and Rodney Peterson; three nieces, Jahnai “Nikki” Forman, Tiana Forman and Alexis Morgan; two nephews, Alfred Forman Jr. and Tyrone Forman II and many other relatives and friends.
