Kenneth Evan Wilson

May 15, 1966 – April 24, 2021

On Saturday, April 24, 2021, Kenneth “Kenny” E. Wilson, 54, of Arlington, VA, peacefully made his transition while in the arms of his sister and brother in love at Virginia Hospital Center. Kenny gave his life to The Lord at the age of 12. A lifelong Arlington resident, he was an avid supporter of all the Washington, DC sports teams. He enjoyed music, walking in the neighborhood and enjoyed talking to anyone who would listen. He loved his family immensely and looked forward to spending time with them while reminding them of their birthdays. He was a faithful employee at the Social Security Administration for well over 30 years. He is survived by his sister, Lori Wilson Wilkerson (Edward) of Arlington, VA; brother, Ellis Thornton (Rose) of Boston, MA; sister in love, Ruth of Sunrise, FL, his beloved dog-niece, Sasha, and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Stanley Wilson; his parents, the Honorable Deacon Frank K. and Bessie E. Wilson. A public viewing will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Heart of God International Church, 7323 Steel Mill Drive, Springfield, Virginia 22152. Due to Covid-19 restrictions a private Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Arlington, VA. The service will be livestreamed at mtolivebc.org. He will be laid to rest next to his parents at National Memorial Park in Falls Church, VA.
