Doretha Delores Barbour

On March 9, 2021, Doretha Delores Barbour peacefully transitioned at Captial Caring Adler Center in Aldie, Virginia. She is survived by her husband, Richard K. Barbour; sons Anthony Barbour (Renee), Richard Barbour III, daughter Shantell N. Barbour; brother Andrew Jackson Jr. (Charlene) and eight grandchildren; Karl Barbour, D’Vone Jackson, Brooksie Marbury, Davonya Jackson, D’Vonte Jackson, Kamari Pulliam-Barbour, Anthony Barbour Jr., Andrea Barbour and of host of sister in-laws, brother in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Doretha was a dedicated bowler and traveled with her Bowling Team the Traveling Dolls to many tournaments across the United States.  She enjoyed listening to oldies but goodies, watching movies and collecting Betty Boop Dolls and novelties. She was preceded in death by her parents Andrew Jackson and Myrine Wilson, her sister Brenda Emmanuel, her daughters Angela Barbour and LaTonya Jackson. A private celebration of life mass will be held on March 18, 2021 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Arlington, VA.  The service will be live streamed 11a.m. at  www.olpqva.org via YouTube. Interment will be held at Pleasant Valley Memorial Park.
