Marjorie Gresham Osborne, 79, of Fairmount Heights, Maryland, was called to be with the Lord on January 25, 2020 in Cheverly, MD.
Marjorie Osborne was born in Richmond, Virginia to the late Joseph and Dinah Gresham on February 16, 1940. She graduated from Nursing School and the Metropolitan Police Department Academy as part of her proud professional history. Marjorie has lived in King William, VA, Wilmington, DE, Washington DC before retiring to Fairmount Heights, MD. She worked as a Nurse at Children’s Hospital for many years before becoming an Officer. She retired from the Metropolitan Police Department on April 11, 1980. Marjorie then worked at Cadeaux and Tagleri, P.C. as a valued legal assistant for eight years.
Marjorie Osborne is preceded in death by her daughter, Sonja C. Osborne. Her memory will live on through her son, David Osborne (Gail), daughter the Honorable Kiristan Leftwich (James), three sisters and one brother, Grandchildren Davon Andrews, Rose Osborne, Braelynn Leftwich, Kennedy Leftwich as well as special friends Lucy Edwards, Patricia Budd-Stewart, Saundra Lyles-Jenkins, Anatolia Harper, Kimberly Warren and a beloved host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Memorials may be given to American Heart Association. The family of Marjorie G. Osborne wishes to extend our sincere thanks to (Dr. Mohammad Sarfarazi M.D., UM Prince George’s Hospital Center, Bianchi Funeral Service LLC, District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department, Baptist Liberty Church, Rev. Reuben Spencer Carter, and all those who have been supportive during this time.
