Celebration of an Angel

Juliette A. Payne

April 6, 1966-September 27, 2018

Affectionately called ‘Juju or Julie,’ Juliette was the middle child of Barbara Maynard. Born and raised in Bridgetown, Barbados, along with her siblings, in a loving, Christian home. After completing her formal education, Juliette achieved her degree from St. Caroline’s Business College.

Juliette’s greatest love was being a Mom to her “little girls.” She spoke fondly of their achievements and endeavors. Her goal was to prepare them to be God-fearing, well-rounded women.

With God as the foundation of her home and family, Word of Grace Christian Center, in Herndon, VA. is where the family worshipped. A caring and giving woman; Juliette always put the needs of others before her own. She was an amazing cook. She loved to share the flavors and stories of her upbringing in Barbados.

Juliette was employed by Energy Zone of Fairfax County Public Schools for 18 years, as a Food Service Manager. She spent a majority of her career at Mark Twain Middle School, not just feeding students, but offering them love, humor, and conversation.

Juliette leaves to cherish her memory, three beautiful daughters, Lilly Ann, Victoria Rae, and Gracie of Alexandria, Virginia; her mother, Barbara Maynard, brother, Anthony Alie, and sister, Natalie ‘Nat  Nat’ Maynard, Bridgetown, Barbados; the Payne Family; her Godparents, Muriel Thornhill and Claire Charles; family friends, Adrian  Belgrave, and Simone Phillips; her loving ‘sister circle’, Lisa Harrison, Indy Jaggat, Rhonda Seales, Damaris Tomajko, Reta Wright; and an extended host of family and friends.

Rest in His comforting arms. We love you, but God loves you best!
