My heart hurt so badly when I heard the news Of Eric’s passing. He was one of my favorite students at Pine Springs. He always came into the office with a big smile and a twinkle in his eyes. One of my favorite Memories of Eric is when in the 1st grade, he, James Essex, and Devon Hofer decided to Give themselves a shampoo with all of the soap in the dispensers in the boys room. The adults were supposed to be mad, but none of us could keep a straight face. From that day on those three boys were known as “the shampoo boys. “. The last I ran into Eric quite a few years ago, He told me of his goal to become a barber. It makes me happy to know that he did achieve that goal. His family gave him a beautiful sendoff yesterday, and I was glad to be able to be there and say goodbye. My sincere condolences to Eric’s family and all those who loved him. Rest in peace, Eric.
