Aunt Sally was a strong, savvy, witty, caring aunt. Living next door to my parents, she guided me through my toughest summer. At age twelve I had to become the "little woman" of the house when Mom entered the hospital twice within a month. With sage wisdom, Aunt Sally talked me through meal preparations and household chores. Her encouragement and guidance were just what I needed to endure until my mom returned. I still see her smile of assurance; plus hear her voice of mindful advice and spontaneous chuckles.
Aunt Sally demonstrated her professional and human relations skills as a bus driver for Fairfax County Public Schools, successfully navigating the routes other drivers preferred not to have. She was truly respected by the children riders and her colleagues. She not only opened her heart to others, but her homes as well. Family, neighbors, and friends had fabulous times of joy and pure bliss attending picnics and cookouts at her home in Baileys Crossroads and Ladysmith, Virginia.
My Deepest Condolences to Cousin Mirenda (Peach) and family for peace and comfort. Camille
