Obituary for Trent Lewis Singleton Jr. | 1982 – 2025
Trent Lewis Singleton Sr. and Eva L. Miller-Conyer were blessed with the birth of Trent “TJ” Lewis Singleton, Jr. on June 10th, 1982 in Seattle, Washington. As a child, Trent established himself as the most energetic and outgoing member of his family. His energy was contagious and often led to memorable experiences.
Growing up in a military family allowed Trent to experience different parts of the world. His family lived in several places throughout his childhood including Japan, Germany and Boston, Massachusetts before settling in Arlington, Virginia in the early 1990’s. Northern Virginia was home. It was in Virginia where Trent forged relationships with families and friends that hold strong to this day. Families such as the Brooks and Washington family genuinely loved Trent and nurtured him as if he was their own.
Trent’s life was marked by unwavering love, profound resilience, and a determination to push forward, even when the odds were stacked against him. Despite the challenges he faced, Trent found solace in simple joys like a quiet evening with close friends, spending time with his mom, or going to a concert. Those who knew him will remember him for his sense of humor and his unique perspective on life that came from experiencing both the highs and the lows.
Sadly, Trent departed this life on March 24th, 2025. He may have left this world too soon, but the impact Trent had on those around him will never be forgotten. He fought hard in a world that often seemed indifferent to the challenges he faced, and in doing so, he showed us all what it means to persevere against all odds.
Trent was preceded in death by his devoted mother Eva L. Miller-Conyer and his loving daughter, Trenity Singleton. Trent is survived by his father Trent Singleton, Sr., brother Robert Conyer, sister Danielle Hollars, aunt Patricia Miller, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
He leaves behind a community that loved him deeply and many close friends who were fortunate enough to witness the best side of Trent. His legacy will live on in the memories of those who were in his circle.
Rest in peace, Trent. Your battle is over, but your memory will live on in every heart you touched.
